ZTL Areas (AR)

Castellabate restricted area (ZTL Castellabate) concerns  lungomare Perotti.

There are also two pedestrian area located in:
  • Corso Matarazzo from Piazza Lucia to via Bologna
  • via Mariano e Giuseppina De Vivo (from slargo Don Nicola Matarazzo to Piazza Perrotti), via G. Murat, Piazza Perrotti.

Where enforced cameras are
Access to Castellabate ZTL and pedestrain area are watched by 4 camera located in:
  •  via Guglielmini  intersection lungo mare Perotti.
  • Corso Matarazzo side Piazza Lucia
  • Corso Matarazzo intersection  viale Garibaldi,
  • Slargo Don Nicola Matarazzo

ZTL working time and days
Castellabate ZTL  in lungomare Perotti and Pedestrian Area in Historic Castellabate center work:
  • from 01 April to 30 October  everydays 0 – 24;
  • from 01 November to 30 March only from 19.00 of Saturday to 06.00 of Monday. 
Corso Matarazzo Pedestrian Area works everyday from 0.00 to 24.00.

Admitted vehicles

In Castellabate Restricted Area (Castellabate ZTL ), any kind of vehicles can't enter without any authorization, even motorcycles and scooters must be allowed to enter.

Authorized people

The following kinds of people can enter in Castellabate ZTL without any authorization:

a) Police;
b) Local Administrations; 
c) Tow truck;
d)Disabled people with a registered disabled persons badge;
e) Visiting docrors;
f) Hotel guests.
 

The following kinds of people can get authorization to enter in Castellabate ZTL:

a) Residents in ZTL ;
b) House owners in ZTL; 
c) Shops in ZTL; 
d) Delivery goods;
e) Artisans.

Time for loading and unloading goods
Authorized vehicles can deliver goods in ZTL lungomare Perotti and Pedestrian Area in Historic Castellabate center : from 6.00 to 12.00 and from 14.00 to 17.00.
InCorso Matarazzo pedestrian Area, authorized vehicles can deliver goods from 06:00 to 9:30 and from 14:00 to 16:30.

disabled access
Vehicles for disabled people can always enter in Castellabate ZTL.
If they need to enter without any authorization they have to inform Local Police (located via Roma in Hamlet Santa Maria from 8.00 to 14.00) within 24 hours since they entered.
You must give the following information:
  • Plate number,
  • Date and time entrance,
  • Disabled permit.

Hotel guests access
Hotel guests can enter in Castellabate ZTL for loading and unloading luggage.
It is up hotel guests to call phone 0974/961531 before entrance and to say car plate to Local Police.

Temporary permits

Local Police may give temporary access authorizations in Castellabate Restricted Area after production of motion.

If I got into ZTL without any permission, is it possible to revoke the fine ?
If you got in Castellabate Restricted Area without any authorization you can't avoid a fine except disabled people or visiting doctors.
