LTZ Areas (AR)

 

Prato restricted area (LTZ Prato) is divided into two different areas with different rules.

  • permanent LTZ  working every day 0.00 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.
  • Daily LTZ which  working from 7,30 a.m. to 6,30 p.m.

Prato permanent restricted area (LTZ Prato permanent) concerns the following streets of the historic center: 

  • Largo Giosuè Carducci
  • Piazza Buonamici
  • Piazza del Comune
  • Piazza del Pesce
  • Piazza Duomo (excepted road connecting Via della Sirena with la Piazza F.Lippi)
  • Piazza San Francesco
  • part of Piazza Santa Maria in Castello Piazza Sant'Antonino
  • Via Agnolo Firenzuola
  • Via Atto Vannucci
  • Via Baldo Magini
  • Via Benedetto Cairoli
  • Via Cambioni

Admitted vehicles

In Prato Restricted Area (Prato LTZ ), any kind of vehicles can't enter without any authorization, even motorcycles and scooters must be allowed to enter.

Authorized people

The following kinds of people can enter in Prato LTZ :

  • Public transport;
  • Cleaning streets;
  • Taxi and NCC;
  • Militaries;
  • Emergency vehicles;
  • Armoureds;
  • Vehicles enroled such as 'h), comma 1, art. 203 del Regolamento di esecuzione al codice della strada'.

The following kinds of people can get authorization to enter in Prato LTZ:

  • Particular cases;
  • Delivery goods;
  • Armoureds
  • Replacement authiorized vehicles;
  • Delivery goods;

Time for loading and unloading goods

Authorized vehicles can deliver goods in Prato LTZ:
  • Artisans and shop keepers, vehicles under 3,5 t, 07:00-10:00, 12:30-15:30 and 19:30-21:00 .For ungenties you must get a temporary permit before your entrance.
  • Home delivery vehicles under 3,5 t; any time slots , parking no longer than 30 minutes.
  • Services: from 20:00 to 10:00, from 12:30 to 15:30 and from 20:00 to 24:00,parking no longer than 30 minutes .
For ungenties you must get a temporary permit before your entrance.

Vehicles for disabled people can always enter in Prato LTZ but they need to register their plate number (no more than 1) If they need to enter they must inform Local Police before their entrance.
You must give the following information:
  • Plate number,
  • Date and time entrance,
  • Disabled permit.

Hotel guests access

Hotel guests can enter in Prato LTZ for loading and unloading luggage.
It is up the hotel to say car plate to Local Police.

Temporary permits

Local Police may give temporary access authorizations in Prato Restricted Area after production of motion for these reasons:
  • urgenties
  • delivery bulky goods
  • delivery jewels
  • replacement vehicles
  • delivery goods
  • unpredictable cases
There are weddings permit, too.

If you got in Prato Restricted Area without any authorization you can't avoid a fine.
