Massa restricted area (LTZ Massa) concerns the following streets of the historic center: 

  • Via Cairoli (from via Guidoni to via Staffetti)
  • Via Giardini
  • Via Staffetti
  • Via Cavour (excepted in working days from 07.00 a.m. to 5 p.m. )
  • Piazza Aranci
  • Via Betti Vicolo delle Suore
  • Piazza Bastione
  • Via Alberica (excepted in working days from 07.00 a.m. to 5 p.m. )
  • Piazza Mercurio
  • Via Beatrice
  • Via Bigini
  • Piazza Martana
  • Via del Tribunale
  • Via Traversa
  • Piazzetta Senatore Del Nero
Pedestrian area (APU) concerns the following streets: Via Cairoli (from via Staffetti to Piazza Guglielmi); part of Piazza Aranci ;part of Piazza Mercurio ; Via Dante, Via Zoppi, Via Guglielmi, Piazza Guglielmi , Via Alberica (from Via Tribunale to Piazza Aranci), Via Piastronata, Piazza Duomo, via Ghirlanda, Via Bastione (from Guglielmi Theatre to Via Crispi), Via Porta a Fabrica.

LTZ working time and days

Massa LTZ (in Italian ZTL) works every day from 0.00 to 24.00.

On working day every people can enter in from 07.00 - 17,00:.
  • Via Cavour, direction Piazza Palma – Piazza Portone but not in via Betti;
  • Via Alberica from Piazza Martana to Piazzetta Senatore Del Nero, but not in via M. Bigini.
In via Cavour e via Alberica, from 07,00 to 17,00 on working day, it is possible to park only for 1 hour.

Admitted vehicles

In massa Restricted Area (massa LTZ ), any kind of vehicles can't enter without any authorization, even motorcycles and scooters must be allowed to enter.

B) Renter/Dimorants;
C) Public interest;
D) Emergency Vehicles;
E) Public transports; hotel guests;

H) disabled people with a registered disabled persons badge;
I) Elettric or hybrid Vehicles ;
L) Resident relatives ;
M) market and historic Vehicles;
N) Residents Motorcycles and scooters.

Time for loading and unloading goods

Authorized vehicles can deliver goods in massa LTZ: on working days from 07,00 to 10.30 and from 14,30 to 17,00.

Vehicles for disabled people can always enter in massa LTZ.
If you need to enter without any authorization you have to inform Local Police within 24 hours since they entered.
You must give the following information:
  • Plate number,
  • Date and time entrance,
  • Disabled permit

Hotel guests access

Hotel guests can enter in massa LTZ for loading and unloading luggage.
It is up, within 24 hours after entrance, to say car plate to Local Police.

If I got into LTZ without any permission, is it possible to revoke the fine ?

If you got in massa Restricted Area without any authorization you can't avoid a fine except disabled people, Chemist's working on Sunday or night customers or hotel guests.
In these cases, you have to inform Local Police within 24 hours since you entered.

Buongiorno. La presente per chiedere, se possibile, la verifica del corretto funzionamento della telecamera posta in Piazza Bastione. In data 18.08.2016, infatti, avendo ricevuto di fila una seconda multa per ingresso in ZTL, mi recavo al comando per evitare di fare altri errori, chiedendo di mostrarmi la zona specifica ove si può incorrere nella multa. Per quanto riguarda la prima multa ero incerta, perchè temevo di esservi transitata, non sapendo ancora che vi fosse la limitazione (tratto dal mercato coperto verso destra che conduce all'arco Martana per intenderci). La seconda, a distanza di pochi giorni, mi ha destato maggior sospetto. Non solo. proprio in occasione della mia visita al comando, altre 5 persone si trovavano in sede per chiedere lumi proprio sul medesimo varco (ad una coppia erano arrivate addirittura 3 multe di seguito). Mi chiedo, è possibile che la macchinetta, per guasti tecnici, possa replicare la medesima immagine registrata una prima volta? Nel fotogramma mostratomi, infatti, non appare data e giorno, ma questi appaiono nelle caselle poste sul display al di fuori dello schermo (non fanno parte della fotografia, per intenderci). tra i presenti, una signora confrontando due fotografie, notava che sul lato destro erano parcheggiate in modo identico le medesime vetture... E' possibile verificare che la macchina non abbia guasto tecnico ? Grazie per l'attenzione. Elena Bertocchi.
