Galatina restricted area (ZTL Galatina) covers part of the historic center and its boundary concerns:  vie Corso Porta Luce, via D'Enghien, Piazza Gioacchino Toma, via Giuseppina del Ponte, Piazza Lillo, via Mezio, via Turati, Piazza Alighieri.

ZTL working time and days
Galatina ZTL works:
  • From 1 November to 31 March
    • On Working Days from 20.30 to 7.00 next day.
    • On Saturdays, on Sundays and on Not working days from 0.00 to 24.00
  • From 1 April to 31 October 
    • On Working Days from 19.00 to 7.00 next day.
    • On Saturdays, on Sundays and on Not working days from 0.00 to 24.00

Admitted vehicles

In Galatina Restricted Area (Galatina ZTL ), any kind of vehicles can't enter without any authorization, even motorcycles and scooters must be allowed to enter.

Zero Emmission vehicles can be authorized to enter.

Time for loading and unloading goods

Authorized vehicles can deliver goods in Galatina ZTL from 7.00 to 11,00 and from 17.00 to 20.00.

Vehicles for disabled people can always enter in Galatina ZTL.
If you need to enter we advice to contact Local Police. within 5 days since you entered.
You must give the following information:
  • Plate number,
  • Date and time you entered,
  • Disabled permit
You can fill in the application.

Hotel guests access
Hotel guests can enter in Galatina ZTL for loading and unloading luggage.
If you need to enter we advice to contact the Hotels or Local Police.

Temporary permits

Local Police may give temporary access authorizations in Galatina Restricted Area after production of motion for these reasons:

  • weddings and funerals
  • bringing ill people to ambulatory

If I got into ZTL without any permission, is it possible to revoke the fine ?
If you got in Galatina Restricted Area without any authorization you can't avoid a fine except in emergency services:
  • Ambulances;
  • Police;
  • Fireman;
  • Hotel guests;
  • Public services;
  • Public transport;
  • Taxi and NCC;
  • Shop keepers inside ZTL;
  • Disabled people;
  • Funerals;
  • Loading waste;
  • Surveillance;
In these cases, you have to inform Local Police within 5 days since you entered.
